The 2016 Annual Campus Steam Shutdown is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. with service restored at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016. This shutdown is necessary to facilitate needed repairs and maintenance to the campus steam system that cannot be performed during normal operations. Maintenance activities will be performed in mechanical spaces and will not be visible to most staff and visitors.
Please be aware that heating services – including heat, hot water and humidification – will not be available during the steam shutdown. Air conditioning will operate as normal. Facilities will make every effort to maintain normal building temperatures during this time. Please contact the Facilities Services Center immediately at x4-2222 if there are any unexpected issues or concerns.
