Bike to Campus Day

Want to escape from the crowds and heat in the subway or the hassles of finding a parking spot? Bike to campus! Bicycling is one of the most healthy, economical, fun and environmentally friendly ways to commute.

In cooperation with this year's annual Clean & Go Green event, Columbia University Facilities'  Department of Public Safety and Columbia's Office of Environmental Stewardship are proud to sponsor Columbia's first ever "Bike to Campus Day" on Wednesday August 4th. 

Enjoy a nice ride to campus, park your bike at one of the Morningside campus' 200 bike racks, and join us anytime between 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Low Plaza for:

  • FREE Bike Tune-Ups! (courtesy of Recycle A Bicycle)
  • FREE Bike Registration! (courtesy of the NYPD and Columbia Public Safety)
  • FREE Bike Safety Tips and Maps!
  • DISCOUNTS on Bike Helmets, Bike Locks and More!
  • FREE Raffles!

Have an old bike collecting dust?  Donate it to a great cause! Recycle A Bicycle - a community-based bike shop and non-profit organization that encourages environmental stewardship and every day bicycle use - will be accepting bike donations.  For more information on donating your bike, please visit http://www.recycleabicycle.org/.
