Register Laptops, Cell Phones, & Small Electronics

Dear Public Safety Friends,

CU Public Safety will be registering laptops, cell phones & small electronics on Tuesday, May 26th from 11am - 1pm in conference room 363 (3rd Floor) at Studebaker.  We will be offering the following crime prevention programs:

Operation ID- property engraving (a unique police number is engraved on the property, great for laptops, Mp3 players) FREE.

NYPD Blue Light- Same as above but no engraving, instead invisible ink is used and can be viewed by a special police light. excellent for cell phones & laptops. FREE.

Mac Phone Home- Software that locates stolen Mac computers. FREE.

PC Phone Home for Vista- Software that locates stolen PC's with  the Vista operating system.  FREE.

Pc Phone Home for Windows can be down loaded from the CUIT website www.columbia.edu/acis/software/pcphonehome  FREE with your UNI & Password.

Discount Laptop Locks- The New Kensington Super Laptop lock $30 each.  Department accounts welcomed.

Coming soon...  "I-Pod Phone Home"-- the ability to locate stolen or lost I-pods.
