Facilities and Operations Compliance Recognizes Employees Who Go Above and Beyond for Safety

Columbia University Facilities and Operations Compliance held its first annual Safety Excellence Awards Ceremony at Altschul Auditorium on June 26, 2018 and at the Studebaker Building on June 27, 2018, honoring 22 Columbia University Facilities and Operations employees for exceptional safety performance.  Team members were nominated by a supervisor or a member of Facilities and Operations Compliance.  Honorees were recognized for achievement in categories of safe work, safety leadership, safety engagement, or proactive safety. 

“Columbia University Facilities and Operations continually strives to weave safety into the culture and fabric of our organization,” said Geraldine Tan, executive director of Compliance.  “The individuals recognized today exhibit leadership and a commitment to constant safety vigilance, fostering a safe environment for employees and the Columbia community.”
