The Facilities and Operations Office of Equity and Inclusion hosted an expo in December to introduce employees to the newly established Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
The ERGs bring staff together centered around a variety of cultures and interests to provide networking and mentorship opportunities, facilitate educational programming, and foster an overall sense of community and belonging.
The ERG Expo provided a welcoming environment where employees could connect with ERG chairs and discover opportunities to get involved. The ERGs currently represented based on demographics, resources, and expressed interest from staff include Black, African American, and Caribbean; Latinx and Hispanic; LGBTQ+; New Hires; Veterans; and Women Achieving Victory through Endurance and Strength (WAVES). The Office of Equity and Inclusion is always open to additional ERGs representative of CUFO’s population, including faith-based groups, shared interests, etc. CUFO employees interested in starting a new ERG can reach out to the Equity and Inclusion team.
All CUFO employees are encouraged to join an ERG that resonates with them—whether as a community member, ally, colleague, or simply interested in learning more about another culture. More information and sign-up options are available on CUFOnet.
