Harlem Community News Profiles the University Facilities and Operations Vendor Development Program

The Harlem Community Newspaper (HCN) profiled the Columbia University Facilities and Operations-led CU Grow Vendor Development Program, highlighting the program’s impact over the years in creating and expanding opportunities for Minority-, Women- and Locally owned businesses. 

Written by HCN contributing writer Tony Rogers, the article recognizes Facilities and Operations’ continued commitment to MWL businesses since the start of construction at the University’s Manhattanville campus. The article focuses on the CU Grow Vendor Development Program, Facilities and Operations’ current business development program for, which offers qualifying MWLBEs a personalized expert business coach guiding them through year-long curriculum to grow their businesses.   

Rogers also doubles as a radio host for Urbanology, where one show a month focuses on MWLBEs and is co-hosted by Scharlene De La Cruz, Program Administrator of the CU Grow Vendor Development Program, for the past 8 years.
