High School Summer Internship Program Provides Hands-On Experience in Construction and Facilities Management

This summer, Columbia University Facilities and Operations hosted 5 local high school interns as part of an annual internship program in partnership with New York City Career and Technical Education. Throughout the six-week program, students gained valuable career development and practical work experience that complemented their studies and career goals, while exploring Columbia’s three main campuses and getting to know different teams in facilities management. At the closing graduation ceremony, interns gathered with their mentors to present their learnings and experiences over the summer.
