Move for a Purpose: Join CUFO's Move-a-thon in Support of CCS's Fight Against Hunger

From June 12 to July 2, CUFO will be hosting a move-a-thon in support of Columbia Community Services' Fight Against Hunger in Upper Manhattan. Register to participate in the move-a-thon and consider making a donaton today!

Walk, run, ride or just move at your own pace, on your own schedule, and support Columbia Community Service’s Fight Against Hunger. Earn bragging rights with your colleagues to see which CUFO department moves the most. Ask friends and family to support your effort to fight hunger.

To register, you must create or sign into your MoveSpring account.

If you already have an account, click on "login" at the top right corner of this page.

If you do not have an account, follow these steps:

  • Visit this page and enter the organization's code ("CUWell") and click on "Sign Up".
  • Confirm your organization ("Columbia University").
  • Submit additional information including your position, school or division, and primary campus.
  • Create your account by submitting your first and last name, email address and creating a password.
  • Personalize your account by creating a username and including an optional profile picture.

Once you are signed up to MoveSpring and have connected the app to a wearable device, smartphone, or selected manual entry, here's how to track your steps to make sure your steps and all other activities count: 

  • Remember to sync your data from your device to the app to update your total steps each day. Learn more about syncing here as it varies by the type of device you have.
  • Count other physical activity (e.g.: yoga, biking, or dancing) towards your step goal by converting the number of active minutes to steps and manually adding them on the MoveSpring app.
