Columbia University's Director of Vendor Management and Relations, Sean Johnson, served as a corporate coach for Mauricio Acosta, president of Acosta Design, Inc.  Both, pictured here, were recognized on September 13, 2012 as part of the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) Corporate Alliance Program Coaching Pilot graduation ceremony hosted by SBS and AXA Equitable.  Eleven certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) firms graduated from the Program. This eleven-month program matched corporate executives with professional services small business owners to provide first-hand business advice and strategies to grow their businesses. Johnson helped Acosta develop a business plan, an elevator pitch, and a formal corporate structure which has already proven to help the company gain new clients.
