In honor of Women’s History Month in March and the monumental contributions from and innovations by women in the industry, Total Food Service produced a list of Top Women in Metro New York Foodservice & Hospitality. Vicki Dunn, Assistant Vice President of Columbia Dining, was recognized for the second time as one of the most influential women in the Education sector. The list featured more than 300 women across the following categories: associations/nonprofit, catering, chefs, clubs, corporate dining, education, healthcare, hotels, media/PR/authors, restaurants, vendor – equipment and supply, vendor – food, vendor – services, and wine/beer/spirits.

Dunn has been a member of the Dining team since 2007. During her tenure, she has elevated the dining experience by leading an operation that prioritizes good food, incorporates community-enhancing events, and is responsive to the diverse needs of the Columbia student population. The high-quality, customer-oriented food service strategy she has helped to build has established Columbia Dining’s reputation among both the student body and the collegiate food service industry. In 2018, Columbia University was ranked #1 in Best Colleges for Food by The Daily Meal, moving up from second place in 2017.
