Columbia University Wins NYSAR3 Recycling Leadership Award

The New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR3) awarded Columbia University with the Recycling Leadership Award for our efforts over the past year to promote recycling, composting, and other initiatives to reduce waste to landfill.

Clean + Go Green recycling and reuse event on Low Plaza

NYSAR3 provides statewide leadership on waste reduction, reuse, and recycling issues and practices to improve the environment. Each year, NYSAR3 awards a college, university, or other educational institution whose actions have significantly reduced solid waste or have furthered waste prevention, reuse, recycling, and/or composting. The awards will be presented at NYSAR3's 29th Annual Recycling Conference & Trade Show on November 8, 2018 in Cooperstown, NY.
