Dear Colleagues,
The 2017 Annual Morningside Campus Chilled Water Shutdown is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10:00 p.m. with service being restored at approximately 11:00 pm. on Thursday, December 28, 2017. This shutdown is necessary to facilitate needed repairs and maintenance to the campus chilled water system that cannot be performed during normal operations. Maintenance activities will be performed in mechanical spaces and will not be visible to most staff and visitors.
Please be aware that cooling services in academic buildings – including general overhead air conditioning and process cooling systems for labs and data centers that rely on campus chilled water – will not be available during the Chilled Water Shutdown. Heating will operate as normal. Campus Operations will make every effort to maintain normal building temperatures during this time. Please contact the Facilities Services Center immediately at x4-2222 if there are any unexpected issues or concerns.
