Columbia Residential Supers Receive OSHA Certification

April 29, 2019

Columbia Residential superintendents are now more knowledgeable about safety standards and preventing workplace hazards due to recent Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training.

Conducted by Local 32BJ SEIU, OSHA general industry outreach training sessions were held for all Columbia superintendents and resident managers to provide awareness on OSHA standards, as well as how to recognize, prevent, and control common workplace hazards.  The training took place over two five-hour sessions with topics including the OSHA Act, how to work with hazardous materials, personal protective equipment, electrical safety, and machine guarding.  Participants received a 10-hour OSHA certificate upon completion of both sessions.
