As the University’s food service operator, Columbia Dining is the first signatory to the Mayor’s challenge.

Leaders from New York City private and public sectors gathered on Columbia University’s campus to reaffirm their commitment to addressing climate change and to the ambitious goals set as part of the NYC Carbon Challenge.  

The Facilities and Operations Fiscal Year 2023 Annual Report has been released, celebrating the many accomplishments Facilities and Operations has made during the past fiscal year.

Student veterans, Columbia community members and leadership, and distinguished guests celebrated the Columbia and New York City veteran communities at the Columbia University 2023 Military Ball on Friday, November 10, 2023. Among the attendees were Columbia University Facilities and Operations (CUFO) military service members.

Columbia University’s new Business School buildings – Henry R. Kravis Hall and David Geffen Hall – have been selected as finalists in the World Selections of the Prix Versailles competition in the campus category.

The new Business School buildings – Henry R. Kravis Hall and David Geffen Hall – received the 2023 Urban Land Institute New York (ULI NY) Award for Excellence in Institutional Development at a gala reception on October 18 at Cipriani South Street. The statewide competition recognizes projects that demonstrate commitment to planning, design, sustainability, and community impact.

The award was received in the “University Renovation” category as part of Learning by Design’s Fall 2023 Architectural Interior Design Awards of Excellence competition which honors innovative and effective projects in K-12 and post-secondary education facilities across the country.

Method Collective, a women-owned, mat-based movement space, has signed a lease with Columbia University to open a new location at Columbia Business School’s Henry R. Kravis Hall, providing a physical home after launching in the adjacent West Harlem Piers Park.
