For the past five years, Campus Operations has helped Columbia Engineering's Formula SAE Racing team to test the cars they fabricate. From vehicle testing and troubleshooting, to setting up a test race track on campus, to providing logistical assistance outside of campus, Campus Operations is proud to assist the racing team in preparation for competition.

ACUHO-I Interns (Association of College and University Housing Officers-International) is a professional association devoted for students interested in positions of administrations in residential life within higher education across the globe.

When plans for renovations over the summer began for Broadway Hall, an undergraduate residence, departments across Facilities and Operations including Columbia undergraduate Housing, Sustainability, and Construction Business Initiatives teamed up to find a new home for the used residence hall furniture to be replaced.

Since 2017, the CU Grow: Vendor Development Program has supported minority-, women-, and locally owned (MWL) firms with critical business elements needed to work on University construction and maintenance projects. Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in rechargeable electronics, from smart phones, laptops and tablets, to scooters, bikes and electric cars - and chances are you are using them to power your devices. You may have heard about recent fires caused by lithium-ion batteries, which were not limited to e-bike batteries only. These fires are preventable by following these guidelines.

Did you know that the summer is one of the busiest times for Facilities and Operations? While many students and faculty are away on a well-deserved break, Facilities and Operations likes to take advantage of the quieter campus to perform a wide range of improvements.

Transformation of the lower-level event space in Lerner Hall is nearing its final stages. The renovation project will create a world-class performance space for musical, dance, and artist performances, and arts-related programming and activities. Named the Walter and Shirley Wang Pavilion, the space is set to open for Fall 2023.
