Sapp’s, a local restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, is the latest Columbia University retail tenant to join the Morningside Heights neighborhood. The opening marks Sapp’s second location, joining their original location in Long Island City.
At their new location at 2888 Broadway (between 112th and 113th Streets), Sapp’s offers lunch and dinner menus featuring sushi, specialty rolls, ramen, rice bowls, grilled and skewered foods, and more. A drink menu is also available with beer, wine, sake, and cocktails.
The opening of Sapp’s is consistent with Columbia University’s long-standing retail approach which favors local businesses that bring a variety of amenities and experiences to the diverse Columbia community and surrounding neighborhood. Sapp’s joins several other local businesses that have recently opened in Columbia buildings in Morningside Heights and Manhattanville, including Loco Coco, Trudy's Ice Cream, Oliva Tapas, and Manhattanville Market.
Sapp’s hours of operation are 12:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday. To learn more, visit Sapp’s website and follow them on Instagram.
