Method Collective, a women-owned, mat-based movement space, has signed a lease with Columbia University to open a new location dedicated to indoor cycling at Columbia Business School’s Henry R. Kravis Hall.
The new 850 square foot studio, Method Collective Cycle, will be located two doors down from Method Collective's original location in Henry R. Kravis Hall (at the corner of 12th Avenue and 131st Street). Method Collective Cycle is anticipated to open in early 2026.
Founded in 2023 by Leah Roth, Patricia Ruiz, and Dani Zuccheri, Method Collective is committed to holding a diverse, judgment-free fitness space that allows patrons to curate their personal fitness routine. Following their launch in West Harlem Piers Park, Method Collective established their physical home in Henry R. Kravis Hall in 2024, offering yoga, Pilates, and other mat-based fitness classes.
"We’re thrilled to expand Method Collective into our new space next door, bringing the energy and community we cherish to even more fitness enthusiasts. The Kravis Hall location at Columbia Business School offers the perfect environment—central, inspiring, and vibrant—making it an ideal home for Method Collective Cycle. This expansion reflects our commitment to providing innovative, inclusive fitness experiences and fostering a community where everyone can thrive. We’re grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to share this new chapter with our members and the neighborhood,” said Dani Zuccheri, Leah Roth, and Patricia Ruiz, co-owners of Method Collective.
The signing of Method Collective Cycle marks the third retail space leased within Henry R. Kravis Hall’s four micro-retail spaces along 12th Avenue. These spaces, each sized under 2,000 square feet, are designed to attract entrepreneurial tenants like Method Collective by offering a unique opportunity to develop their businesses.
RTL represented both Columbia and Method Collective on this transaction.
Columbia owns and manages retail space across the Morningside and Manhattanville campuses, and its long-standing retail approach favors businesses that bring a variety of amenities and experiences to Columbia and its local communities. Method Collective Cycle joins several other local businesses that have recently opened or signed leases in Columbia buildings in Morningside Heights and Manhattanville, including South of the Clouds, The U Bar and Grill, Softside, Upside Pizza, Haji’s Deli, and HIIT The Deck.
