Congratulations were in order for the 143 Facilities and Operations employees celebrating 10 years at Columbia University. 

Columbia University Facilities and Operations (CUFO) joined with partners to deliver 150 pre-packed Thanksgiving meals on November 22 to five local senior homes in Harlem, including the Grant Houses Community Center, 3333 Broadway Apartments, PSS Manhattanville Senior Houses, Canaan Senior Service Center and Riverstone Senior Life Services.

On Friday, October 21, we celebrated our favorite lion’s birthday and the start of 2022 Homecoming weekend.

Clean + Go Green is back at the Morningside and Manhattanville campuses on Thursday, December 1 and Friday, December 2.  Donate your unwanted items to create more space and help the environment.

Columbia University partners with a marketing professional organization to provide scholarships for MWLBE companies. Applications for the grant officially opened on October 18th, and will be accepted through Friday, November 18th.

On Friday, October 21, we celebrated our favorite lion’s birthday and the start of 2022 Homecoming weekend.

Columbia University continued the trend of sustainable new construction with its new Business School buildings, Henry R. Kravis and David Geffen Halls, and The Square, a one-acre public green space, which combined were awarded LEED® Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

Miznon, an international Mediterranean restaurant by Israeli-celebrity Chef Eyal Shani – referred to as a "line-inducing pita chain" by Eater NY – has signed a lease with Columbia University to open a new outpost in Morningside Heights.

Columbia University Facilities and Operations was a sponsor for Inspire Enterprise, Inc.’s Third Annual Black Business Owners Forum held on October 13, 2022. The virtual event focused on how to leverage the power of a Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) and the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification to acquire more contracts.

CUFO looks forward to participating in Construction Inclusion Week hosted by Gilbane Building Company on October 21 where Assistant Vice President of University Supplier Diversity Tanya Pope will join a special conversation on “Capital Projects as Engines of Equity".
