The lower-level event space in Lerner Hall is about to undergo a transformation worthy of its location on Broadway.

Facilities and Operations has developed a new website for its Operations department. The new website provides a collection of information and resources to understand the roles and responsibilities of the Operations team and how to engage their services. Columbia University Facilities and Operations hosted Ascend Cities’ National Conference at Columbia’s Faculty House from July 12-14, bringing together the program’s partners, business owners, academics, and business community anchors from across the country to share best practices in supporting businesses owned by people of color, women, and veterans.

Loco Coco, a local vegan superfood café, is the newest Columbia retail tenant to open its doors in Morningside Heights.

The Columbia School of Professional Studies Construction Administration Program partnered with Columbia University Facilities and Operations and Balcony DAO, a leader in the Web3 Real Estate space, to host a symposium for cryptocurrency and decentralized finance (DeFi) at Columbia's Roone Arledge Auditorium during the week of the 2022 NFT 2.0 conference. The symposium focused on NFT’s and crypto-currency’s increased use in real estate and the built environment. 

The CU Grow Vendor Development program hosted its first in-person procurement event since the beginning of the pandemic at The Forum at Columbia. The event brought together CU Grow’s current cohort of 21 minority-women- and locally owned (MWL) firms for a networking event to learn about upcoming business opportunities and gain valuable resources to continue growing their businesses.
